photographer and visual artist — Hamilton, ON

Haylie Maria Dittrich (they/she) is a self-taught analog and digital photographer but expands their artistic practice through videography, alternative photo processing, papercutting, and ceramics.

Working with primarily film for lifestyle and wedding clients, Haylie takes a documentary approach that highlights special candid moments alongside big important memories. Galleries are delivered in chronological order and are organized to tell the story of the event like flipping through a photo book. Each frame is captured with intention and edited with care.

Currently, Haylie is editing a collection of photos for an upcoming photo book based on the enduring overdevelopment in Southern Ontario.

Giving back

I believe in making space for artistic work collaborations with people who don’t have financial access to it. I always offer pro bono, pay what you can, or sliding scale prices for business and personal photoshoots for black, indigenous, WOC, LGBTQIA2s+, and low income, community driven start-ups.
